Tailwind Affiliate Program Review Intro
If you are interested in learning more about the Tailwind Affiliate Program, you are in the right place! The Tailwind Affiliate Program has been one of my absolute favorites to review. If you are a business owner who leverages social media and blogging, this affiliate program is likely a great option. There are a ton of benefits that all come down to the amount of work that you put in. Let’s get started!
What is Tailwind?
Tailwind is a tool that is predominately used by bloggers and influencers to manage content on both Instagram and Pinterest. The Tailwind tool allows you to create and schedule content in advance, engage with communities, and measure the performance of this content. Check out Tailwind to learn more.
I really enjoy using Tailwind because it allows me to schedule pins in advance so that I do not need to manually pin them on Pinterest every day. This means that I am able to constantly drive traffic to my blog – even when I sleep! I literally get notifications at night when I’m sleeping that other users on Pinterest have re-pinned my pins. This is exciting because I know that this is all because I scheduled my pins in advance!
What Is the Tailwind Affiliate Program and How Does It Work?
The Tailwind Affiliate Program is a program that incentivizes individuals to promote the Tailwind platform. Essentially, Tailwind affiliates will get paid a percentage for every sale that they make. In the next section, I will detail the specific commission structure of the program.
What Is the Tailwind Affiliate Program Commission Structure and What Commissions Does Tailwind Payout?
I am a big fan of Tailwind’s Affiliate Program commission structure. There are three different affiliate levels – silver, gold, and platinum. The silver level provides a 15% recurring commission on sign-ups with a $25-100 per content bonus. The Gold level provides a 20% recurring commission bonus after hitting $2K per month in sales, with a $100+ per content bonus, AND a personalized ads budget to promote content! Finally, the Platinum level provides a 25% recurring commission after you hit $5K per month in sales, a $250+ per content bonus, a personalized ads budget for promoting content, and also monthly strategy check-ins!
The cool thing about the Tailwind affiliate program is that you don’t even need to be a Tailwind user. Tailwind has stated, however, that its most successful affiliates are users of the platform and use Tailwind to drive traffic to their affiliate content. This makes sense because if you know a platform inside and out, you will likely be able to market it better and also share your results firsthand.
How Much Can You Earn With the Tailwind Affiliate Program?
The good news is that your Tailwind earnings are virtually limitless! You can earn nothing or as much as you want, and it all depends on the work that you put in. I asked the Tailwind team what the earning potential was as well, and so far no limit has been specified. On Tailwind’s affiliate website, it says ‘“the more you grow, the more you earn.”
How Will You Be Getting Paid?
Tailwind pays affiliates a commission based on each sale. As referenced in the section above, payment starts out with a 15% recurring commission on sign-ups. I don’t know about you, but I love the sound of recurring commission! According to Tailwind, after a month is ‘locked,’ approved transactions are paid out in 20 days. after.
Who Can Join the Tailwind Affiliate Program?
You can join the Tailwind Affiliate Program, even if you do not use Tailwind! However, if you have a blog or create any type of content that requires traffic, I have a feeling that you will grow to love Tailwind if you are not using it already!
It also helps to be familiar with the product so that you know the ins and outs of Tailwind. You can also share what Tailwind can do for your audience’s business!
Pros and Cons of the Tailwind Affiliate Program
I think there are multiple benefits to promoting Tailwind’s Affiliate Program. The first is that you are promoting a genuinely great product and that is something to feel good about. The second is that the earning potential is very high! It also sounds like Tailwind has a very collaborative affiliate program and strives to help affiliates become successful.
Really the only con about this (or any affiliate program) is that you must use your own time and creativity to promote the program in order to make money. This is of course the point of an affiliate program, as you are making a commission on someone else’s product and must promote it. There is also a bit of ambiguity around the maximum amount that someone can earn.
How to Promote Tailwind and Become a Successful Affiliate
The cool thing about joining an affiliate program is the amount of creativity that you have when it comes to promoting an affiliate offer! There are so many ways to promote your affiliate links.
Before promoting your affiliate links, you must always, by law, provide a disclaimer wherever you promote that you are making a commission from that link.
Blog or Website
One of the best ways to promote an affiliate link is through your own blog or website. The reason why this method is so powerful is that you have complete control over how the link is promoted. It may take a bit more time to build traction, but the benefit is that you are not at the mercy of a social media algorithm and traffic should be more consistent.
Another great way to promote an affiliate offer is through your email list. Similar to your own blog/website, you control who receives your email and are not at the mercy of a social media algorithm.
Social media is, of course, a great way to build and drive traffic to an affiliate offer! A few great options include YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest. Here is how I would recommend promoting for each of these platforms:
YouTube is such a great way to promote affiliate offers due to it staying power. You can type in a keyword in the YouTube search bar and check out videos that were made even 10 years ago that still earn affiliate income and views every single day. What I would do is conduct keyword research specific to the offer that you are trying to promote. Look for a keyword that has less competition but is still getting views and being actively searched. Once you’ve found your keyword, consider making a video or two to promote your affiliate offer!
Instagram is another versatile platform for promoting affiliate offers. I would recommend including a link in your bio relating to the offer in some way. For example, many people have links to their blog that list out a variety of affiliate offers. You could also include a guide or free resource that could be valuable for your target audience and include an affiliate link there.
Pinterest is an amazing platform to promote affiliate links! One way is to craft a blog post related to your offer. Include affiliate links in the post and promote on Pinterest after creating a steller image or video! You could also utilize Tailwind to promote these pins for you while you sleep (this is absolutely an affiliate link to Tailwind!).
Facebook groups are a fantastic way to build relationships. If you are on good terms with the admin and are sure you are following the rules, consider sharing out free resources that may include your affiliate link.
The Best Alternatives to the Tailwind Affiliate Program
The good news is that there are alternatives to the Tailwind affiliate program if you want to sign up for other programs! I found three that you may be interested in based on my research:
The Sprout Social Affiliate Program
Sprout Social is a social media management tool that focuses on return on investment for your organization. Sprout Social’s affiliate program requires you to be a member of CJ Affiliate, enabling you to earn a $75 commission on a user’s first month of their subscription. You also earn a 15% commission for the next 6 months that the subscription is active. Learn more here.

HubSpot is a marketing and sales tool that has different offerings based on your goals. HubSpot’s marketing tool allows you to implement inbound marketing campaigns, and HubSpot’s Sales Hub helps you to close deals faster through tools that shorten your sales cycle and improve close rates. HubSpot also has a Service Hub and CMS Hub that I highly recommend looking into. HubSpot’s affiliate program offers two primary ways to make money. The first is through a 15% recurring monthly commission. You get 15% of revenue for annual purchases and earn monthly payouts for up to one year. The other option is a flat rate program – you earn 100% of the first month’s revenue and 15% of revenue for annual purchases. Learn more here.
The Zoho Affiliate Program
Zoho provides a variety of business programs ranging from sales and marketing to finance and HR. For the Zoho affiliate program, for each sale, you earn 15% of the revenue. You earn commissions after the referral has stayed with Zoho for at least 90 days. Learn more here.
