As a blogger, you have multiple tasks to accomplish on any given day. From writing posts to growing your audience, the list almost never ends! Alternatively, this keeps things fun and exciting. The key to being a successful blogger relies heavily on mastering your productivity. If you can keep moving forward past the setbacks and making slow, continuous progress, you are on the right track.

With that being said, let’s go ahead and get into these productivity tips!

The very first thing that you must do is craft a list of all of your blogging tasks that you need to get done based on the quarter that you are preparing for. It is easier to batch this process four times a year rather than every week or month because it is less to worry about and allows you to get it done at once.

If you need help coming up with your task list, some of the to-dos on your everyday list may include:

  • Creating posts
  • Pitching yourself to blogs
  • Incorporating affiliate links
  • Interviews for blog posts
  • Incorporating video content
  • Creating pinterest graphics
  • Scheduling posts in Tailwind

Next, it is important to rank each of the tasks on your list in terms of important and priority. This is critical because it will dictate which item you must get done first. You could also look at your quarterly goals and the nrank the tasks that way. Something else you could do it look at which tasks will automatically come before the other. For example, before you schedule something in Tailwind, you need to write a blog post and create a graphic (or five).

The next step will be to block off time on your digital calendar to complete these tasks. I recommend Google Calendar because it is very easy to use. I use my calendar to block off sections of time that I can allocate to specific tasks. This is also a helpful exercise because it helps you to better estimate how much time you will need per task by actually visualizing the time. This will increase the likelihood that you will complete a task because you are more realistic with your time and to do lists.

Keeping a daily planner to cross off tasks and hold yourself accountable is another important step in the process. This helps you to keep track of everything that you need to finish. Also, writing down your task list may help you to remember them better.

Last but not least – this last tip is really important for goal tracking and long-term success. Consider debriefing every Friday or weekend. You could realistically analyze what went well and what did not go well so that you know what to improve on for the next week to make progress and meet your goals.
