If you are on a budget but want to either create or revamp your office space, look no further! There are so many ways that you can create an enjoyable and productive office space on a budget. While there are a ton of cool products out there, you don’t need to spend $1,000 on your office by any means. Below are a few tips and tricks when it comes to creating your office space on a budget.
The first thing that you should do is brainstorm how you want your office to look. This is important because you want to ensure that all of the items you collect for your office space match and have some type of theme. I know that i I create an office space for myself that is mismatched and unorganized, this is not going to motivate me to work or be productive. So, with that being said, head on over to Pinterest and start brainstorming 🙂 (This is the fun part!)
Next, take an inventory of what you already have at home that can be re-purposed. Oftentimes we collect items over the years that we forget about. It is also great when you have certain items, like a dresser for example, and can re-purpose that into a storage section for your office. The opportunities are endless here, so leave no stone unturned!
My next tip is to check out the local thrift stores in your area. Not all thrift stores are created equal, but if you go to enough of them you can usually find what you are looking for. I’ve also found brand new items at thrift stores, so there really are some great deal. This is hand down one of the best ways to furnish your office.
If you are into art, consider creating your own wall art. You could purchase some smaller canvases and a few paint colors to create some really fun or motivational artwork. Your art could be as simple as painting a few quotes on some canvas and hanging it up! Check out Pinterest for some inspiring art ideas.
Next, check out some local sales in your area. There are usually always sales taking place, whether it is at your local arts and crafts store, or a home goods store. This can make a huge difference when you are on a budget.
Finally, be sure to get ideas online as to how you want your office to look. Be sure to check out this post on home office ideas.
