Goals are at the center of how we are able to accomplish our wildest dreams! For some of us, it can be extremely difficult to meet a goal and to know exactly what steps must be taken to achieve our dreams. Goals are extremely important, because without a goal, understanding our direction is nearly impossible.

Before you set out to meet a goal, it is absolutely critical to find your why – you absolutely must understand WHY a goal is so important to you. So, when you identify your next goal, be sure you can answer the WHY.
Next, consider what specific tasks must be done on a monthly basis to meet these goals. It is important to start with monthly as these are the high level goals and will ensure that you are seeing the big picture and nothing is being left out. Next, get more specific and identify the weekly, and then the daily tasks that must be done. If you do not have an understanding of the granular tasks that must be done on a regular basis, it is going to be very difficult to meet your goals. Take some time to do some planning to identify the specific actions that you will make to meet your goals.
Now that you know what must be done, it is important to identify how often it will be done. Frequency and consistency is key when it comes to meeting your goals. For example, if you are building a business and your goal is to build a more consistent client base, you must take frequent and consistent action in order to build our your clientele. Don’t skip this step because it is CRITICAL to your success!
To hold yourself accountable, begin blocking time off in your calendar, in both Google and a written calendar/planner. This is important because without these daily reminders, it is easy to get too busy and forget to do the daily tasks that will make you successful in meeting your goals. The google reminders are also extremely helpful as their automatic reminders will disrupt your activities to keep you on track.
Once you have completed the above steps, be sure to review your progress each and every week. It is critical to consider what you did well and also what you can do better. If you fail to review your progress then you might lose track of where you are and whether you are on track to meet your goals.
